Building Community Together: Celebrating with Osceola Council on Aging

The All Covered team is proud to have participated in Osceola Council on Aging's annual holiday breakfast celebration on December 14th. The event brought together 100 Osceola County community members in Kissimmee, Florida to share a meal, celebrate the holidays, and spread good cheer. Our team was honored to have made even a small difference in helping the community celebrate the holidays.

Since its founding in 1971, the Osceola Council on Aging has been a pillar of support for countless families and individuals in Osceola County. While ‘aging’ is in their name, the support they offer extends to any community member in need. Their mission is to provide services that enable independence and self-sufficiency for seniors, disabled adults, the disadvantaged, and families in poverty. They offer a wide range of programs, including a food pantry, housing assistance, and health services, all aimed at improving the quality of life for community members.

The breakfast was an incredible event, and we’re proud to be one of the organizations sponsoring it. Plates were full, attendees were joyful, and the excitement from the younger kids was almost palpable. I had the great privilege of dressing up as Santa Claus, and one of the highlights of the morning was walking into the room and watching the children's faces light up with joy and excitement when they saw me. They hugged Santa, shared their holiday wishes, and were delighted to hear directly from the source that ‘Of course you’re on the Nice List!’

For many of these kids, I think this may have been the first time Santa had approached them to tell them how wonderful and special they are, making the experience even more magical.

Seeing the children's happiness and the community's spirit reminded me of the incredible work the Osceola Council on Aging does every day. Their dedication to serving their community is truly inspiring. The team members at Osceola are community builders, making a significant difference in the lives of those they serve. Their work is powerful, and the impact they have on the community is immeasurable. It was an immense privilege being with them and seeing the work they do.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to express gratitude to those who work at Osceola Council on Aging or at an organization with a similar mission. The work they do to build and sustain our communities is heroic.

Let’s all try to emulate the impact they’re making by volunteering to causes that matter to us, serving our communities, and leaving the world better than we found it.

We are proud to serve and support the Osceola Council on Aging and look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.
